@dashingscorpio. I couldn't agree with you more that women are probably much more opinionated about a guy's height.

I actually am one of those tall women like your wife, 5'10", and have dated guys both shorter than me and taller than me. My preference would always be towards a guy who is taller, as long as I was attracted to him and his personality, just as I believe a guy would prefer a woman to be shorter than him.

Obviously this is just a generalization. Height doesn't matter to everyone. You found someone you love who happens to be taller than you, so you're proof that being in love is more important than a couple of inches.

Actually I believe most guys want a girl they consider to be "HOT" looking regardless of her height. Little 5' 5" guys would jump at the chance to date a Victoria Secret model!

I'm 5'10" and my wife is 6' so clearly I have no issues with height. She did tell me that if I had been any shorter she probably would not have gotten romantically involved with me. In fact a guy who was 5'5" hit on her and she shot him down even though she liked his personality.

More women are concerned about a man's height just like men are conscious of women's weight. Everyone is entitled to have their own preferences. The vast majority of women I've dated have indicated they want to be with men who they feel bigger and stronger than they are.

Something that's seldom mention is the variety of sex positions that correspond with height. That’s a truth that I came to terms with when l turned 13 and realized my reign as one of the tallest girls in elementary school had ended; I just stopped growing and was now destined to be one of the short girls for life.

In high school, everyone else loomed over five feet, but not me. My mother used to tell me not to lose hope, that I had until I was 21 years old to gain a few inches, so I hoped and measured myself every year.

I'm proud to say that from a meager 5’0" high school freshman I grew into a 5’2" twenty-something who, ironically, happens to be dating a 6’0" giant.

Although he thinks the height difference is adorable, there are probably a few things he would have wanted to know before dating a shortie.
